"the BH660 backhoe came with a manufactures defect which they addressed on newer models. The problem is they won't admit it and replace the one on the older models. Since this a known problem I flat refuse to pay $600 for a factory mess up. John Deere is looking really good to me."

"It was a long hard debate between getting a used tractor or getting a new Branson. After all the searching and being disappointed with the maintenance of the used equipment I decided to buy new. I do a lot of tilling and shredding so pto power was important to me, but I also wanted to be able to sneak the backhoe into back yards in the suburbs. The 2800h fit the bill perfectly. Its 47 inches across the tires and the turbo gives it a nice boost in the torque department. I've moved a bunch of dirt, spread crushed stone on driveways, tilled several acres for grass and shredded over 40 acres and couldn't be happier. I run a 6 foot shredder and a 5.5 foot reverse rotation tiller and have been very impressed with the power available from the engine. The sweet spot is 2200 rpm. I filled the tires with beet juice so I could use the tiller without the FEL on. I also swapped the quick attach plate for the FEL off a TYM 293 and the pins slip right on, no mods needed. This also gave me the 4.5 foot wide bucket and I bought a real pallet fork instead of the clamp on type. The only other significant modification I've made was the addition of an oil bath pre filter to protect my investment from the sand here in Texas. "

"So far so good with a couple of annoyances. First the control for the bucket makes it really hard to get on and of the right side. Second, the spring to center the forward and reverse peddles is not strong enough, and it won't start unless it is centered so sometimes you have to rock the peddles to get it restarted. And the big one for me, I have to drive 3 miles down the road to get to my property and because of the crown on the road on the way home after every thing is warmed up the front axle leaks oil out of the vent which is on the low side (right). I changed the dip stick to that side and removed paint over around the hole and that helped allot. But I wonder what they were thinking."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Lots of features, good price, doesn't feel like a toy. Cons: Limited dealers, phone support is iffy. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA TX I also considered buying: Kioti Ck27S HST

"Great tractor for the money. 28 HP turbo really makes a difference. I have put over 50 hard hours on this unit, and it continues to perform perfectly. Has been started at 10F with no problems. Has been used to mow at 90F+ with no problems. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Power, weight, price. Cons: HST is a little loud. Not many dealers around. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA VA I also considered buying: Kubota B2630, Kioti Ck20S HST, LS Tractor J2030 H

"After much comparison of this model and others such as JD, Kubota, Mahindra, Yanmar I was very impressed with the quality and features on this model for the price. For about $15,200 I got the tractor with the upgraded loader and a Woods finish mower. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: User friendly to maintain ie. almost all grease fittings on outside for ease of access. All metal construction, only plastic is dash and surrounds around the levers for gear and implements. Cons: Owner manual not real well written. Cut and pasted from 2400 model manual. Purchased the service manual for better maintenance info. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA FL I also considered buying: Woods RDC54
