Model year: 2004 Date Purchased: 2004-06-01 Number of Hours: 620

"I bought my 4720 in 2004 after looking at nearly every tractor manufacture in its class (45 to 50 hp). John Deere is king but cost too much for my budget. Kubotas are too light (my Branson weighs 500 pounds more than a similar HP sized Kubota), and I did not like the New Hollands or Case tractors at the time. I have since put over 600 hrs on the machine with very little trouble. They only strange thing that happened was that I broke both tie-rod ends in the first two years. I replaced them both with Branson parts and have not had another problem. I have a loader, 6’ box blade, and a 6’ “bush hog”. The tractor handles them all quite well. I am considering buying a Branson 6530 with a cab once I can afford it. Feeding the cows will be a lot nicer in the winter. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Heavy, reliable, & economical. Cons: May not hold value as well as other big name brands. Type of User: Homeowner 100+ Acres Location: USA MO I also considered buying: Branson 6530

"I researched a lot of compact tractors prior to making this purchase. Most of them were toy-like in their construction. This Branson is the best-built compact tractor I have ever seen. I have owned Kubota L2900 GST and Grand L5240 HSTC tractors in the past. Kubota has priced their tractors out of my range. This Branson isn't as fancy as the Kubotas, but IMHO it's construction is sturdier. The Kukje/Cummins 4 banger runs sweet and is very efficient. The HST tranny has 3 ranges and works well (my wife loves it!). QD front end loader is standard, not optional like Kubota. Tim Brown at Colorado Tractor Corporation is a GREAT dealer to work with. The only complaints I have so far are the metal sliding toolboxes under the deck are difficult to access and too short and the PTO switch design lends itself to accidental activation every time I turn in the seat. I'll be working on that."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Great value for the money. Cons: Tool boxes. PTO switch. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA ID I also considered buying: Kubota L4240, TYM 353

"I bought it about a month ago and have 8hrs so far. It's been a great tractor. I know it's still brand new but it's done everything I've asked it to do so far. I had the oversized industrial tires put on. I got the 0% for 60 month financing for the cash price because I almost walked on the deal. The only thing I wish I would've done was get the turf tires. I do mostly yard work and the industrial tires really start tearing the yard up during loader work. Makes for some hard mowing unless I go back across with a yard rake or blade. I'm not a fan of the brake being on the left on the Hydrostat. I would also think the rocker style fwd/rev would be easier than the separate pedals. If your not looking down at the pedals sometimes you'll miss it. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Best bang for the buck, great warranty, great financing Cons: Brake on left and separate pedals for hydrostat Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA AR I also considered buying: Century C47, Kubota M4700, Cub Cadet Yanmar EX3200

"I have had very good luck with this tractor and i am proud of my purchase. The only problem I had is I need to replace a u-packing seal on my hydraulic lift. For using it for 5 years O don't think that is bad."
