Model year: 2015 Date Purchased: 2015-08-22 Number of Hours: 5

"This is my first weekend with the tractor and I have about 5 hours on it. I purchased it with a Modern 6 foot rotary cutter, and most of the hours were with that attached. I know that most of these things are very picky, but I wished I could have read about them before I got the tractor. Hopefully, someone from Branson will read this and make some changes, but let me say that overall this is a great tractor, better than any other I have seen. 1. My foot keeps getting caught under the brake pedals when getting on the tractor. If the pedals were just a bit higher off the floor, this wouldn't be a problem. 2.I got the tractor "stuck" on a rocky spot in a road. I move my 2-wheel drive pickup across this all of the time. It does not have a high center or anything, 4-wheel drive engaged, and pulling a small trailer. The two front wheels and one rear wheel were slipping. “No problem, just need to lock the rear axle.” Well, I am still trying to figure out how to do that safely, as the rear axle lock is on the same side as the hydrostat pedal. My foot can't be on two things at the same side. I had to lean over to engage the axle lock with my hand. 3. The tractor seems pretty weak in 3rd range. You really need to move the rpm up to 1700 or so to pull it up a small grade. 2cd range works well and is a good rotary cutter range, and the 1st range will spin tires without problems. 4. The range selector seems really stiff, I have problems moving from one range to another. The hydrostat pedals seem a little un-responsive - nothing bad just different from other hydrostats I have used. 5. The range selector handle and parking brake handle really interfere with each other when 2cd range is selected. 6. I had some heavy grass to cut. I had done this with my old tractors with a 5-foot rotary cutter, running about 1700 rpm (that would put the power take-off at about 300 rpm) without problems. Well, I selected the high power take-off speed, set it up about 1700 rpm, with the 6-foot rotary cutter and there just wasn't enough power to pull through the grass no matter how slow I went. I just about to call the dealer when I tried it with the power take-off in the normal 540 speed at 1700 rpm - no more trouble, I just walked through the grass. I really like the tractor and I think it will work well for me. I hope this helps others in making a choice of tractor and then using it. "

"This is a strong little tractor with many issues. I've had a problem with the hydraulic system from day one and (dealer name removed) can't solve the problem. The valve and cylinders have been rebuilt and a new valve installed. The valve still leaks all over the floor boards and the loader continues to leak down at a rate you can see. I have lost several springs for the forward reverse which is a big safety issue. I lost the left front hub at 550 hours. I have tried every method to reach Branson USA with no luck. They ask for customer feedback on their web site but won't respond. I could go on and on, but Branson simply isn't a reliable company."

"I reviewed every tractor being sold around me with my eyes on the Mahindra. Just about to buy, I stumbled on the Branson and wow was I impressed. A heavy tractor with good power and at a very good price. I am clearing land and using it for just about any and every thing I can without a problem.(knock on wood). Nobody wants to buy a tractor for any amount of money and get a lemon. And I like you had my doubts and was wondering if this was a good buy. Well as of today I am very happy and I have a better tractor then all of my friends with money left over to buy all the attachments that I wanted. I will keep you posted."

"I have been impressed so far. It may be a little under powered. Ergonomics are okay but could use some refinement. They have definitely taken some shortcuts in engineering and overhead with the 3 point attachment and tinware. The backhoe I purchased with it does okay but the outriggers bleed off and effect the stability. Overall, so far so good for the price. About 20% less $ than major brand name tractors."

"Purchased this in the Summer of 2012 with bucked and hoe prior to our move to the mountains of WV in October. We moved a week before Sandy hit, dumping 4 feet of snow over several days. I plowed out ourselves, the neighbors, the county road, and a friends car that was buried by the state snow plows. Used the hoe to dig out tree stumps and move rocks and repair a driveway or two. Very rocky up here, so rocks are ever-present and often challenge the hoe, but it performs well. Blew several hydraulic lines on the tractor and the hoe. Now replace them with a spiral coil protector that prevents chafing on sharp edges. No issue since then. Kludgy getting in and out with the console design. It's changed in the newer models, but it's workable. Hydraulics work well, I'm overall quite happy. Have put 200 hours on the machine and I would buy another one. Like having an airplane---you never have one big enough or small enough. A more powerful unit would be handy with the rocks and trees, but a smaller one would be better on the lawn, so this is a good compromise. It always starts right up with the block heater, even when below zero. Engine started smoking and I dumped in a bunch of fuel-injector cleaner and that cleared right up; likely a batch of bad fuel. Overall, an excellent machine."

"The use the tractor in breaking in new ground. It have good power and run all day on less than a tank of fuel (11 gallons.) The side hood lock could be a stronger connection and better design. But that is minor. Also the screen for cleaning the radiator good be design to get on an off easier. "

"I've had this tractor back to the dealer because the forward reverse spring has broke 5-6 times (I repair it myself now). Also the loader has leaked down since day one but and the dealer has replaced the valve twice but no change. Bransen says it's normal. I measured and timed the drop - 12" in 10 minutes! Both issues make this a very unsafe tractor."

"Great choice, plenty of power & traction. Branson offers more features for the money. Quality is very good, 4 stars only because upon a close inspection once I got it home, I found a few loose bolts on the loader attachment. Had a minor leak of hydro fluid at loader valve, dealer quickly fixed. Very happy with choice."
