Model year: 1985 Date Purchased: 2005-03-20 Number of Hours: 2500

"I use the 685 for bush hogging, hay handling and found the tractor to be a real work horse. It is very dependable and is fuel efficient. The tractor has had no break down since I bought it in 2005. It has plenty of power and even in the 100+ degree temp in the summer in Louisiana it has never over heated."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Fuel efficient and powerful. Cons: Does not have walk through floorboard. Type of User: Homeowner 100+ Acres Location: USA LA I also considered buying:

Model year: 1988 Date Purchased: 1988-01-01 Number of Hours: 2650

"Good stable heavy framed tractor that unfortunately the 68 hp motor can not hold up to the frame. Mine was 4x4, cab, Ldr. Tractor just really bogged the motor down when operating machinery. Thought it was possibly due to all the accessories, but after talking to other 2x4 cab less 685 owners, their main complaint was lack of muscle. Finally just traded for a Kubota 8540 and have plenty of muscle. As said, good tractor, loved the frame, etc. just needed 90-100 hp motor in that heavy frame."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Body/frame built like tractors should be and not light like newer models. Cons: 68 hp motor in a 100 hp tractor body (like 4cy in a ton pickup). Type of User: Homeowner 100+ Acres Location: USA VA I also considered buying:
