"Tractor given to me. Had to tow it our of berry vine thicket. It had been sitting unprotected for 13 years. Amazingly the engine still spins. All tires obviously flat, but aired up immediately and all hold pressure. Come without intake/exhaust manifold and Carb, and air cleaner. Radiator shot. Not running yet, but so far I have replaced manifold, carb, radiator, rebuilt Magneto, now hoses, fanbelt. Boiled out and sealed fuel tank. Looking for an air cleaner. Have cleaner stack and brackets, and cap. it came with a monstrous sickle bar mower attachment. Huge. Would like to sell that. Found a new hood on Ebay, side panels okay. This tractor has no hitch or draw bar, so I'm look for a drawbar assemble and an Eagle hitch assembly. Clutch seems free and operating. I know more about everything when I finally turn the crank and she lights up. Oh and the Dashboard serial number plate is missing. I'm guessing on everything. Fighting the rust battle. Been lucky so far. Haven't broken any studs. Any advise, all you VAC restorers? "
"I bought the Case about 40 years ago from a friend who had bought if at an auction sale. Ran reliably over the years. Replaced wheels that had rusted through, and crankshaft that had broken after 56 years. Did rings and valves at that time also. Still 6 volt with 6 volt alternator. Everything else original."
"Bought this old guy to refurbish. Fun project so far."
"Bought new by my father in 1949"
"Great antique row crop tractor. Fully functional for my 1/2 acre garden including plowing, tilling and planting. Rated at 18 HP with 3point hitch and PTO."
