Model year: 1973 Date Purchased: 1974-06-10 Number of Hours: no meter

"I bought it new in 1974 for $1250. I cut about a 1-acre yard every week in the summer and fall. It has a 44-inch mower. The engine has never been rebuilt, just the starter and carburetor twice each and the clutch once. The scroll pin in the drive shaft has been a problem. I replace it about every four to five years. I believe this machine will out last me ( I'm 77). While cutting my front yard I have guys stop and want to look at it. They can't believe it's 44 years old. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: So reliable, has quality written all over it Cons: I can't think of any except the scroll pin in the drive shaft Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA SC I also considered buying:

Model year: 1974 Date Purchased: 2004-05-01 Number of Hours: Zillion

"Bought the CC 128 used for $250.00. I have a CC 104 that I owned for 15 years and it is built like a tank. The CC128 is used to mow the lawn. I live on the side of a hill and the CC 128 has no problem on the slopes. The CC 104 is used for plowing snow. Rebuilding the CC 128 12hp Kohler this winter (2013) and just finished rebuilding the CC 104 10hp Kohler engine."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Very heavy and strong because of the direct drive shaft. Cons: Expensive "new " parts. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA DE I also considered buying:
