"Kohler Command motor is great, smooth & relatively quiet. Drives and mows very nicely. Had initial problems with tires losing pressure (sealed with Slime) and defective welds on the deck lower limit stop which allowed the deck to go all the way to ground (dealer fixed). At start of 2nd season, power takeoff belts kept popping off the lower pulley. Dealer replaced the pulley and belts (took 3 weeks). Had same problem a month later. I removed the grill, hood, heat shields, etc. and with a strait edge, found the lower pulley to be 5/16" behind the upper pulley (laterally). Used a number of washers behind the lower pulley to move it forward 5/16", then another several to position two e-rings in the groove of the splined shaft. This cured the problem, have been mowing for about 275 hours since without further trouble. Overall, I love this tractor. It's easy steering, comfortable to drive and mow, cuts beautifully if you keep the blades sharp and the tires at proper pressures. Installed a lighted rocker switch for headlights."
