"You know it's true when you say they just don't make them like they used too. In my area of the woods, Northern Vermont (rural 20 miles from the Canadian border), finding a part or a person with knowledge is sometimes almost impossible. Fortunately You-tube has many tutorials and very helpful do-it yourself directions on many different issues you may have on most tractors. From fuel injection, bleeding a fuel system, how to check a glow plug, and just plain troubleshooting your specific tractor. This is also a good place, Tractorbynet. Amazing that I stumbled across this site. I'm so happy that I did and look forward to the help I receive and any information I can forward to all my ByNet friends. Thanks, Rolland Gerhart"
"This is my first ever tractor, so I love it and how did I ever live without it? I have an Arps 80 backhoe on the PTO, so together with the front loader I can dig up and move the multitude of rocks that make up 90% of my yard, shove back the overgrowth, and remove invasive shrubs without a problem. I have chains on all the turf-saver tires, and an electrical warmer for cold weather starts. It's a great little machine, and the only mechanical trouble it's given me is the tach cable breaking. This seems to be a problem with this model, as there is a replacement kit (for $200!), but otherwise you have no hours clock. Minor quibbles are that the fuel tank is filled through an opening directly behind the steering column, which I find difficult to get to, especially while holding a 5-gal can of diesel, aiming for a wiggling funnel. And the low-fuel light is right behind the steering column, which means you don't see it when you're actually on the tractor. I've run out of fuel a couple of times, which is really bad on a diesel tractor. Now I mind the manual and top up after each session. Also, it's very hard to hold onto the gear lever in high gear because it occupies the same space as the front loader controls. Room for the controls, but not your hand. Overall, it's a great tractor that I would recommend to anyone."
"Charging systems are garbage, can't keep batteries and can't find replacements. Considered an alternator from small car but won't fit anywhere. Manual says there is a place for a second PTO but doesn't tell you that it is only available on 2wd models so you discover it after you buy the tractor and try to install front mounted attachments."
