"The 4 wd helps the 30 hp perform up to reasonable level. However, you must be aware of limitations of a light weight tractor, as it is easily over loaded by tillage equipment. Mowing, shallow cultivation, etc, are suitable operations. Avoid deep till or more that 5 shank rippers. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: It was cheap (or so it seemed at the time). Cons: You will get to know it through your repair bills. Parts only online, and you have a 50-50 chance of getting the right one sent to you. By 425 hours, all seals of brakes, 3 pt lifter and Frt loader (pistons and controller) failed, requiring rebuild. Gauges - only tach works. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA TX I also considered buying: John Deere 5055E, Case-IH Farmall 45A

"My first tractor experience, so impressions could be considered naive. 30 hp x 4wd ... performs well for small farm application, but be aware of limitations to single point deep plow, 3 row cultivator, etc. Previous owner only used grease gun where physically convenient. FEL and steering... replaced seals in all pistons. Steering - replaced 'knuckles' 3 point lift ... leaks at arms, position drifts down. Electrical - no work lights, fuel gauge, ammeter. Don't trust other gauges. 30 amp fuse blows after starting. "

Pros: Strong enough for small farm. Cons: A lot of 'small' conveniences are problems. Parts are only online and distant. Service manuals cryptic, hard to follow, and don't give 'how-to'. No hands-on' advice nearby. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA TX I also considered buying: John Deere 5055E

"The tractor was purchased new from going out of business dealer. After running for a short period of time, the tractor loses all oil pressure. I am now replacing the second starter within the past 6 months. Parts are very expensive. A lot of oil leaks. Not happy with the tractor. Made too cheap. The emergency break does not work very well."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Starts very good in cold weather Cons: transmission ratios is all wrong. Too fast in high, and to slow in low Type of User: Homeowner 50-100 Acres Location: USA OH I also considered buying:
