"Bought used from nursery company in New Jersey with 7309 bucket. Use in upstate New York to brush hog, move dirt and rocks, carry gravel and blow snow. Starts and runs in all temperatures down to minus 25. Added Woods backhoe frame mounted 2 years ago. This is the most useful tool I have ever owned. "
"Have used my Ford 2120 with a 4 in 1 bucket which I have found invaluable. Glad I got one with the 4-1 although at the time did not realize how much use it would be. Have 50 acres and meets most of my needs, have found at times a little bit under-powered especially if scarifying the paddocks or having to plow. Overall it has been a very reliable machine. Parts are reasonable and, being a Ford, available everywhere."
"Oh...on the last review I forgot a couple things. The glow plugs did not work and the low coolant and glow plug indicator lights were dead. I "borrowed" a lamp delay relay as that is the easiest thing to check. Nothing doing. I then tore apart the dash so I could check the lamps and found a perfectly mummified mouse curled up for a very long afterlife nap. Verified that the lamps were good so that left the $130.00 ignition switch as the next to last option. Pulled the switch and checked continuity across contacts as per the service man. Nothing. Flooded switch with Cramolin R5 and worked key back and forth several times. Blew out excess Cramolin and had myself a new ignition switch...all systems go. "
"Bought this 2120 from R-Equipment in Utica,IL. Dealer description was "Nice Tractor". Was pulled into deal based on low hours and that it had a hard cab w/heat plus price. Drove about 1000 miles w/ trailer to pick it up. Clutch suffers from delayed engagement. Fuel filter had never been changed, trans filter dito, oil was almost black grease, cab had no wiper arm and motor was shot, cab heat switch was gone, loader is bent and pins were rarely greased. Clutch way out of adjustment and on and on. My point is as so often is stated-let the buyer beware and if at all possible go look at it. Don't get sucked in by the vague pics and "nice tractor" description."
"Very satisfied with reliability and performance. Purchased used and previous owner abused the tractor, but it has held up well after I repaired the broken items. "
"I've had tractors for 40 years, but this 1993 is my newest. It's far and away the easiest to use and the most capable. Starts great, very reliable, comfortable, easy to operate. Loader (7109) could be a bit more powerful, but not a big problem. Runs all my attachments easily, good in the woods and on open land. 17 years old and looks great, wish I could say the same for me."
"I use the tractor for mowing, snow plowing with the back blade, post hole digging, and odds and ends. I don't really give it a very heavy workout -- maybe 150 hours a year. It runs well and has never had any major failures. It has had several minor problems like the cable on the kill pull button breaking, ignition interlock switch working unreliably -- small, but annoying things. The basic tractor engine, transmission, frame and running gear seem strong and well built. I have the 4WD version, and this is a big help. "
