"I am surrounded by 60-year-old guys with Craftsman and John Deere mowers. I moved in and bought a brand new Husqvarna YTH2448 tractor and impressed everybody, or so I thought. For a year it worked really nice, and then I became entertainment for my neighbors.
The mulching kit kept falling off. Then the electrical shorts started. Two deck wheel axles broke (I have a perfectly flat 1 acre yard). Then a tire went flat. The ignition went bad and needed replaced. The left link lift arm broke----BROKE! Leaving the deck dangling. I replaced that, and the right one broke. I am on the third battery in 8 years, and it is starting with difficulty the last two years. It has 160 hours on it, which is a fraction of what I expect for a new mower.
The professional repair man who fixed the electrical short this spring said the valves are out of adjustment. At 160 hours. My Honda Accord is 15 years old with 160,000 miles, and I've never had to adjust the valves on that. I've had less repairs on that than on the mower. Is there a lemon law for mowers? Help."
