Tractor: Case 734 Grove on 730 chassis. Engine: 267 C.I. Diesel. This tractor was purchased new in Central Fla. and spent it's first 12,975 plus hours in an orange grove on "the ridge". The ridge is a sand ridge that runs down through the center of the state from north of Orlando to south of Lake Placid FL. One needs to use knobby (diamond tread) tires in sand. One original rear tire is still in use and one orginal front tire. The oil pan has never been off. I reground the valve seats and replaced the exhaust valves after I had used the tractor about one hundred hours. The tractor is rated at 53 HP on the P.T.O. When I have heavy pulling to do, I get the "Case"! Eight hard hours of plowing or disking will cause approx. one quart of oil to be consumed by the engine. For it's age and hours in service, it's still a strong runner.
Pros: Case made good tractor back in the 20th Century. Cons: None.
