"This is my first John Deere and I am not totally pleased. Living in Michigan and surrounded by oak trees the fall leaf collection is very important for me.
The leaves tend to be blown out in front of the mower deck and when I turn to the right the leaves shoot to the left. The dealer sold me a leaf kick out kit but mentioned when I was leaving the store that he didn't think it would fit my mower deck...he was correct.
I removed the deck and traced the outline of the front of it and had a local metal shop cut me a piece of metal 2" wide and bolted to the front of the deck. Total happiness with the way this tractor collects leaves now. "
REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pros: The seat is nice.Cons: Idler pulleys are noisey. The safety covers over the outside spindles are a great place to collect leaves and grass clippings.
