I have a John Deere 5075E tractor with cab and loader. I own a construction company and own many other tractors. I purchased this machine for my own personal use and am the only one that has operated it for day one.
The tractor is used primarily to mow an 8-acre field with a bat wing finish mower. I have a few issues with the machine.
1. It is under powered. Even at 75 horsepower it can barely pull the mower on flat ground and maintain RPMs.
2. The fuel tank is 19 gallons, the tractor will only run 3.5 hours (that's 5.4 gallons per hour).
3. The cab is cramped. For some reason the seat is bolted to the floor forward leaving for to six inches behind the seat unused.
4. UNRELIABLE. The tractor, without warning, will shut down like you shut the key off then nothing. No electrical power what so ever. The dealer has worked on it twice with no success. Once repaired it runs 30 minutes and then quits again.
5. Minor but still a pain: the front tires are too narrow. In a dry field I still leave ruts; can't wait until spring and fall when its wet.
Beware, if you need a 75 horsepower tractor get a 100 horsepower one. They don't make them like they used to.
