Not the machine for doing a lot of front-end loader work. The constant shifting took a bit to get used to. I found the right range on the transmission and now just use two and reverse. I have wheel weights and it is not at all hard to get a full bucket on the front-end loader. I notice the weight immediately.
The hydraulics are not set up for end loader work. Getting more than two cylinders to operate at the same time is too much to expect. The John Deere 49 backhoe works just fine. Again not a production machine. Does everything I need and am happy with the fact I rarely pull the throttle over 1800 rpms.
