"After 4 years of use, I have had zero problems with my mower. I replaced the blades once, did the initial oil change and completed one maintenance cycle (grease, oil change, filters, etc.) The only problem has been a slight steering drift I easily adjusted for, and a flat tire, which was my own fault. This machine cut my grass cutting time in half and I can now mow my entire 4.5 acres, if I want. Often I do less and bush-hog the over growth. I do grease the jack stands each season, sometimes twice."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Reliable, fast and useful Cons: Will tear up your lawn if you are too aggressive with direction changes, local John Deere service not easy to deal with, so it's good that I have had no problems so far Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA PA I also considered buying:

"Initial problems began immediately. Unit backfired every single time I turned off the mower regardless of throttling down fully/halfway or not at all. Purchased a 2 bag bagger with this that is the worst bagger ever. Only one bag will fill before the top pops open and spews debris everywhere across the lawn. It's clear this bagger is too small for this unit but JD keeps wanting me to "try this" and even a sales rep. came out and admitted it's not right. 6mths and problem is still not resolved. The unit does cut very well and the mulch kit is years ahead of the competition. I wouldn't recommend this mower, despite the ratings, to anyone who is searching for a bagging unit. I would recommend this to anyone that side discharges or mulches though. Just be ready for engine problems from the start!"

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Clean cut, mulch kit works well. Cons: Stiff ride, less durable parts than higher levels, baggers don't work, pricey for the basic features. Type of User: Commercial Landscape Location: USA IN I also considered buying:
