"Tractor was second-hand upon purchase. It required repairs to steering and 3 point linkage plus needed servicing & lubrication.
It still has a problem with the transmission which I haven't got to the bottom of yet, but overall it seems to be a good unit for its age.
it is fitted with a front-end loader bucket, and came with a post hole borer for the 3 point linkage (which also needed some repair)."
REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pros: Had attachments I wanted, and was reasonably priced.Cons: Needed repairs, and still has a transmission problem.Type of User: Commercial FarmerLocation: AUS OTI also considered buying: REVIEWER'S PHOTOS

"Rebuilt engine. New tires, painted etc. Hydraulics are terrific with the 146 loader. More power than is normally needed. New muffler but still a loud beast. When it has traction there ain't much stopping it."

"I purchased this tractor mainly to open my lane in the winter and to do small jobs around the bush. It has so far being a very good tractor - never gave me any problems.
I also purchase a front end loader ( JD 146) to attach to it. The only deception is the front wheel drive is not that good, being hydraulic. It is not like a real 4wd. It's spins fast on ice and stops spinning at the smallest resistance and it doesn't seem to be forcing at all. Beside that everything else works fine."
