"I have a John Deere 240 that I inherited from my dad. It is now 25 years old and have had to do very few repairs. The first 15 years it mowed 2.5 acres every week, for the last 10 years it does less than an acre but it is truly old reliable. Unfortunately the tires are finally giving out after 25 years and have to be replaced. Looking for another 25 years with good maintenance."
"First I had a Ariens 1440 40 CUT that was given to me, which I liked but needed a lot work my grass was high and couldn't fix ariens thhis time so I went by this Cub Cadet dealer to see about buying a used one but I've seen bad reviews on the Cubs so I was looking for something sturdy. When I got there I saw this green thing that looked like a small tractor. It even had tractor tires on it so I drove it. I liked it but the deck was grinding so I knew it needed work. But it cut great, so I asked how much he said $750.00. I got it plus had $250.00 put in it to redo the deck bearings. But I love this tractor it heavy duty it's about 20 yrs. old and I will rebuild it if I have to because I don't believe they make them this good anymore. - Steve in VA"
"Very good, I can't remember the last time I really liked a tractor. It has done everything around the farm except make fuel. It eats fuel but keeps going and going. Pulls hard and tows great. I would buy another, except for the cost. I might buy a cheaper Chinese tractor. I need a back hoe and a front loader soon. That's all."
