"Great tractor for hunting club, bush hogging, and harrowing food plots. They are a lot easier with the 4005 instead of the old worn out tractors used in the past. Wish I would have gotten a front-end loader when I purchased it. This tractor will last a lifetime."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Lightweight and easy to pull with Chevy 1500 Cons: Needs a beverage holder Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA GA I also considered buying:

"I had my heart set on Kubota, decided on the L3800, but local dealer really got me mad when wouldn't bother to give me a price with trade. Said he'd call on Monday. On Saturday wandered into Deere dealer, found my 4005, and bought it. This thing has not failed to do anything I've asked it, from mowing grass and brush, to plowing, spreading gravel and repairing roads, plowing snow, and running post hole digger. Once I got used to controls it became automatic and natural. I really like the geared transmission, since I just don't get the hang of the hydro statics. Just watch your speed if you put the clutch in on a hill. Only quibble is that FEL hydraulics (300CX) could have better lift capacity. Overall, I love this machine and will have it till I die!"

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Qualtiy build, controls accessible, dependability. Cons: Front hydraulics could use a boost in capacity. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA ID I also considered buying: Kubota L3200, Kubota L3800

"I bought 10 acres for horses a few months ago and did mega amounts of research on what would work for me. I swore no "green paint" because of the presumed cost of the paint. Boy was I mistaken. Once I got to talking business with the dealer, all the other tractors were history. I got just what I wanted/needed for a price that was in my budget and not much extra for the "green paint". I have used the heck out of this tractor as the farm had been in neglect for about 15 years and grown up bad. It's perfect size and equipped with FEL and bush hog. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Size and equipment for 10 acres needing updating and maintenance. Cons: Two minor things: the throttle peg too close to the brake pedal and the 4WD knob is easily stepped on and engaged. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA KY I also considered buying:

"Strong Power, but light. Buy wheel weights/extra ballast with the 4wd. 300CX loader functions well but the lift capacity is limited by the hydraulic system on the tractor."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Largest compact tractor deere makes. Cons: Low lifting capacity. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA AR I also considered buying:
