"I can't say enough about this compact tractor. It's pritty much just like the seller {Zimmers of Brookville IN} told me - 'maintenance free'. I have the 60-inch Land Pride finish mower, backhoe and post hole digger, plus it came with a front blade. I added a electric water pump (they over heat without it). also I added heavy duty snow chains. its like a little bulldozer now. I can up-root small trees (1-3 in diameter). I don't like to ram hard because once it caused the drive shaft to disconnect from the engine, plus I'm sure that's not good for the battery plates and other not thought of items right now. If you raise the back mower deck a few inches and press the 4-wheel drive lock with the heel of your left foot, you get 25 times more traction, which good for when you get stuck in mud, etc.. I live in Indiana and have some wooded areas with a pond, so it's perfect to keep the little road down at my well across the road. I don't think I could do without it at my age here. The dealer told me they were not sure but it was around 1977, but after digging for the engine number etc, I found that it is a 1991 make which makes sense, since the paint and everything looked fairly new. I could blab all day about this tractor, so thanks for reading."
"Not sure of the exact year of manufacture. Bought about 20 years ago with 600 hrs on the clock, since then only serviced every few years but then fully. This is the most reliable machine on the property. Too light for grading hard ground or making deep furrows but great for getting around the place and carrying loads---even on really steep slopes where I wouldn't venture with other tractors. It's better than a quad bike for safety and carrying capacity."
"Tends to overheat when bush hogging. This is due to the rearward-blowing radiator fan, which draws chaff into the radiator, plugging it up. Also, water gets into the front axle, freezing in winter, rendering it inoperable."
"My father bought this new back in 1989 when little tractors were made like big ones. It is now irreplaceable. I use it every week of the year for one thing or another. Easiest tractor I have to trailer around. Less than 18Hp CUTs now look like lawnmowers. Take one into the mud and they act like it. Try to get any dealer to sell you a new tractor this size with Ag R1 tires - won't happen, not available. you might be able to get something comparable grey-market, used out of Japan, but not otherwise available here. Even the Kubota dealer where it gets serviced treats it with reverence. Best if it has a bucket. Mudfarmer"
"Can't give a review at this time. Just purchased tractor and have used it only one time to Bush Hog. Look forward to this spring though."
"Was looking at a new one, but found this for £800 so a steal. Replaced my old JD LT 155 and I've never looked back. In fact I should have done it years ago. Being old there are plenty of pimping opportunities too, like lights and gauges etc.! It really is fantastic machine and I still can't believe how much more you can do out in the field in so much less time for so much less fuel cost. Spares were available over the counter too when the water pump failed due to old age."
"This 30 year old tractor has been fine considering it is used about 75 hours a year and gets maintained "by the book". I have a 60 inch mid-mount mower and a 48 inch front mount snow blower, both made for the tractor by Kubota. I also own a rear mount brush hog, a rear mount roto-tiller and and a rear blade. I do have a problem with Kubota's parts support for this machine. Lately, I am being told that a particular part "is no longer available", especially for attachments purchased at the same time as the tractor. Friends of mine have 50 year old tractors where parts are readily available. I would like to think that Kubota would understand that their products might be purchased based on features and reliability and not considered a throw-away or wear-out item. Thus even though very old they are still in use and require parts for the occasional breakdown. "
"This is a great tractor if you have a flat lawn. However, it is severely underpowered for a 60 inch mower deck going up any sort of hill. The snow blower works great and will throw snow up to 100 feet but again the engine is underpowered for doing the job quickly. The ROPS feature is a major inconvenience as I have an orchard. There is no hinge to lower the upper half and the Kubota dealer will not remove under any conditions. This all sounds like I am unhappy with the tractor but the reality is I am happy with it. The engine starts better than any diesel tractor I ever drove and the power steering is heaven sent. Swapping the snow blower to mower deck is easier than that of a John Deere by a couple of hours."
"This little tractor doesn't realize it's small. Only change I will make is a little more aggressive tire tread. I use 60in. belly mower, 4ft.bush hog.or 60in. finish mower. HST really handy in heavy grass or weeds."
"I buy a B7100HST-D with all the original paint. So clean it's like a new. I use it with the front snowblower B222A and the 4 weels drive is appreciate. The only drawback it's the snowblower attachment. It's really not a quick connect but the tractor is perfect for the price (may be better than a real new one)."
