"I picked this up from a friend whose son had deserted it 5 1/2 years earlier. It was parked in an open field, covered with mildew, Douglas fir needles, and pine cones. The original front tires were flat. I didn't know if the engine was frozen with rust. The ignition switch was out of the dash as someone had attempted to jump and steal it. All they did was cross-connect and fry the wiring. So I had it pulled onto a flatbed and took it home, where it displaced my car in the garage for 3 months. I sorted through it, getting it cleaned, replacing lots of parts and fluids. Some of my knowledgeable, mechanical, co-workers advised along the way. The big day arrived when I put fuel in it, bled the fuel system, and cranked it over. When it fired up, the neighbors ran over to high-five me and share some of my celebratory brewskies. A few weeks later we loaded it into a small box truck and hauled it down to our small farm in Sonoma County, CA. It's perfect for our 9 acres. I've since added a brush hog and done some serious mowing of the overgrown property. It seems happy to be there. "
"Exceptional little tractor, and that is the point, it really is just a miniature 4WD tractor rather than a glorified lawn mower. If only everything in life was as reliable and honest as this little machine! "
"First I am sorry for my poor English writing. I receved my Kubota in May from a Dutch importer straight from Japan. It was technical 100% but the body was in a bad condition. I missed a lot of the motor hood. I paid 2,000 euro a Kubota with no works cost 3,500 to 4,000 euro in Holland. I am going to use my Kubota to get wood out of the forest. Things that I did to make this tractor the way I wanted: - I repaired the motorhood - I build dual hydraulic function on it - A new 3 point lift - A build a trailer hook - Other seat for more comfort - I build brake and back lights on it - Repainted - My next build wood be a pallet carriƫr"
"The tractor I've got is my first one bought. It's small for the land I own. Regular failures cost me over 1,000 euros in the last year. Last part I am looking is the filter cleaner only the cup which i lost in the soil because of the failure of its clips."

"I love the tractor! You must however get a ROPS if you live in a hilly area. Tires on mine broke cords in center after 35 years! Going to have to get another set of tires. Overall it is great for what I use it for. Mine came with a 3pt hitch and I run a 42" rotary brush cutter with no issues. I would buy another one if this one was stolen. KC"
"My tractor is a grey import with rice paddy tires and whilst it runs and performs superbly for what it is, the big problem was the thermo-syphon cooling which doesn't work - either too cold on light use or boils if you work it. Some variants, esp the B7100, have a proper water pump and thermostat to which you can switch with a lot of expense. I sorted mine with an electric pump by Davies Craig, a thermostat in a 3-port housing from Quinton Hazell made for some French car, and plumbing fittings. Otherwise, the permanent magnet alternator needs boosting by a battery charger unless you run at highish revs and the diff lock has seized (unlocked)."
"I bought this tractor and its a gray market tractor, I didn't know it until I needed some parts for the PTO,and the Kubota Dealer wouldn't even talk to me but he wanted to sell me a new one. Still don't have a working PTO,but I have learned to do without it,i got a rough cut mower that has its engine on it, I have a plow, disk, blade and trailer, that's about all I need and it does serve me well."
"Had tractor almost a year now and never had any problems with it.i bought it off ebay, fully refurb'd. Used mainly with a tow cutting deck and a link box and now have fork lift attachment to suit. Garaged and looked after i hope to keep it for many years."
