"Let me start by saying that I had previously done a review of my tractor back when I first joined this site. Since I do not see the review there anymore, I thought that after owning my tractor for nearly 15 years, I might be in a better position to "review" it. I purchased my Kubota B7300 HSD used back in 2002 from a guy who was moving out of state, and he did not want to move this tractor. I have to admit for that reason, I got one heck of a deal. The tractor was nearly new, with only 104 hours, and not a scratch on it. It included the 60 belly mower (RCK60-24B), a front-end loader (LA271), a bush hog Squealer (SQ48) 48-inch brush hog, a Pronovost (PUMA-54) 54-inch snow thrower, and chains for rear tires. All of them in similar condition, if not almost totally unused. The mower deck had seen the most use. When I received the tractor, I also received a copy of a bill, showing that it had just received its 100 hour service from the Kubota dealer. I was in seventh heaven, having upgraded from a 1977 16-horsepower Case 446, with a 48-inch deck, 54-inch snow thrower, and hydraulic rear tiller. I had looked at buying a new version of the same, but for less money, I got this Kubota deal. Since purchasing the tractor, I have added a couple accessories. In 2003 I purchased a Winco 7KW 3PT generator and had the house wired for a double throw manual switch. That has been a godsend on numerous occasions. While I cannot get the full power of the generator, the tractor and generator set have done the job. In 2006, I had a neighbor weld up a 3PT weight box that will hold 10 4x8x16 solid cement blocks. In 2007, I purchased chains for the front tires as I wanted more control in snow and ice conditions. In 2011, I got a tow bar for the 3-point hitch from Skid Steer Express. Since 2002, I have done routine maintenance on the tractor. Each fall I do a complete lube, oil, and filter change before winter starts. It might sound like overkill, but I like going into winter with fresh oil and filter even though I only average about 50 or so hours per season. Most of the hours are either blowing snow or mowing a 1+ acre lawn. There is also the work in the 2 acres of woods clearing trees and some garden work. At 300 and 600 hours I did the full hydraulic fluid/filter replacement. At 600 hours I replaced the air filter after several years of just blowing out with compressed air. There have been very few mechanical or other issues. I did have to replace two loader hydraulic lines nearly right off. I did replace the OEM standard "headlights" with bolt on sealed beams from Northern Tool, as the cheap plastic lights just fell apart. In 2009 I replaced the OEM battery only because it was 10 years old and I was a bit squeamish about going into another winter with the original battery. What do I like about it? It has been a very dependable tractor. It has never failed to start in cold Vermont weather. It has done nearly every task that I have asked of it. It is quiet. Easy to handle and drive. The small size is a benefit maneuvering in the woods and mowing lawns. The front-end loader is very handy and is quite easy to attach/detach. The mower is easy to attach/detach as long as the front-end loader is on. The PTO power has been good for most of my needs. What do I dislike about it? Not much. What would I wish it had? Sometimes power steering, but that is not a big deal, once the tractor is moving. A rear hydraulic takeoff for attachments/implements would be nice. I would like to attach a wood splitter, and may yet, but have to deal with adding hosing/connectors. Maybe a bit more engine/power take-off power, but so far it has worked, although the front-end loader bucket break out is a bit weak. I wish the front-end loader had a quick detach "bucket" so I could add/switch front-end loader accessories. I included photos of the tractor and generator after TS (formerly hurricane) Irene passed through, the weight box that I had made for me, blowing snow during a snow storm and the sealed beam headlights that I added."
"Generally good tractor...front loader very useful. Not convenient removing mower. Did not want because of no power steering but at time was only smaller tractor. "
"Don't have a lot of hours on my tractor but have never had a problem. Had 1 recall on the F/R pedal and was fixed. Used to cut steep yard and plow snow. "
"Excellent little tractor have used / owned several brands and sizes of tractors in the past depending on what I was using them for."
"Wife's tractor."
"Brush hog, till, trail clearing, snow removal. This does it all. We have 55 acres of rugged land, a huge garden, alfalfa fields and tons of snow. I don't need anything bigger, this is one tough piece of equipment."
"Greatest buy! Still holding up after tons of neglect. Shop around for a good dealer, some people are just crooks!"
"Bought it used, from a guy who was selling it to pay for his new, bigger Kubota. I use it for light excavating, bush hogging, hauling, maintaining the gravel driveway, snow removal, clearing dead trees, and gardening. It's on schedule to pay for itself in 15 months. The front-end loader has a nice range on it. Maintenance has been easy so far. Easy to get to all the places I need to."
