"Good mower got one in 2014 for about 800$ great steal. "
"When you replace u-joints, you have to remove steering, dash, floor, fenders and seat. If frame brace was bolted instead of welded, the job could be done from underneath. works well and double the fuel economy of my John Deere. Same hp and deck size 54"."
"Great mower; super engine; good choice!"
"Bought new in 1994, hoping that it would outlast less expensive competition. It has worked out well; mowing weekly on very difficult, hilly rural yards and fence lines. The 4-wheel steering is impressive; considering our terrain, it is hard to imagine any other machine doing as well. Features: 48 inch deck,no bagger... 16 hp diesel engine "
"This little guy was my parents to cut the lawn. They lived North, thus the low hours. When they sold the farm I got the little G with a 48" deck and blower that was never used. I have always been a John Deer guy, but this thing is built. It's heavy and it takes a beating. If the engine is not a Yanmar Diesel, they stole the drawings for it. Use these engines in marine, they go forever... Never seen so many grease fittings in my life, and so many gear boxes to service. When I got it at 290 hours, I changed the HS oil and filter. Everything looked fine, except that it is impossible to check because the oil is so clear on the dipstick. The mower deck adjustment is Mickey Mouse. Never had to search for X in a tractor class. But, once you get it right, seems to work ok. Will switch over to the blower in a couple more weeks. I hear it's a lot of fun. To replace it would be 15 K with all of the toys on it. I expect to give this to my 6 y/o when I retire to the beach."
