"Great tractor power is good. I bought the tractor with 2,400 hours. I have put a little over 125 hours on it. "
"After looking long and hard, and after almost being tempted to buy a cheap Chinese tractor, I finally purchased a second hand L4200 from a local dealer. LOVE it! It has a 4 in 1 FEL, and came with a brand new 5 ft. slasher. Since then I've added a 5 ft. box grader and a post hole digger (9" and 12" auger) to the collection. The original seat was a bit worn and wobbly, so I've replaced it with a modern version with better suspension. Still learning how to use all the implements, but so far it makes life easy around our small farm let. I know 45hp is probably a bit of overkill, but lots of owners of smaller Kubotas have told me they wished they had bought a bigger one. This one is just like the real McCoy! "
"I have couple hundred acres mostly tillable. Use my L4200 as a food plot tractor and bush hogger. Perfect size for what I need. I am always amazed how much power this little tractor really has. Best money I have spent in a lot of years."
"Kubota L4200 DT-GST with loader. 4x4 with glide shift and front loader. Nice 40 horse tractor. The 4x4 is great as is the shift on the fly. I use the loader far more than I ever imagined I would. I need to add a brush guard. "
"I have the Grand L series L4200 with the GST transmission and creep gear and front loader. It probably has all the bells and whistles that Kubota offered for this model. I don't have any complaints for this machine and I haven't had any problems other than moisture getting in the loader spool valves and freezing up in the winter. Easy fix on that by following the advice on a Kubota forum. I work this tractor in 0 degrees to 100 degree weather and have never had a problem. I have gotten rid of the 65 Massey and the 600 Ford and use the Kubota for all the work on 20 acres. "
"This is a great Grand L series tractor from Kubota. Working hard it only uses about 1 gallon of fuel per hour. Runs a 7 foot finish mower in heavy grass with no problem. The cab is wonderful, could be slightly larger but even at 6' 5" and 220 pounds I have no complaints as to comfort. Cool summer and warm winters. As with most compact tractors, more weight would be nice but you can always add. With the optional Creep gear, I have 16 smooth forward/reverse gears that have never left me wishing for more... Changed only a few things. Oversized Turf tires and rims. Put a skid steer adapter on the loader. Changed the stereo out for a CD type with aux input. Replaced seat with the deluxe reclining seat w armrests. Ran hydraulic lines to bucket for 4n1. "
