"This is the second tractor I have owned and the first one with a front end loader. This is the perfect size tractor for my operation. I raise beef cattle, and use this tractor primarily for harvesting, moving, storing, and feeding hay. The front end loader is a Bush Hog brand, and can lift about 2500 lbs. Great tractor and works very well for me."
"Purchased this tractor to replace my Ford 4000. The Kubota M4900 is a great all around utility tractor. I have the factory loader & bucket mounted on the tractor. I use the tractor primarily to mow grass & weeds, clean up woodlands & firewood cutting. I have a Land Pride RCR2572 rotary cutter. I cut some pretty heavy brush without any hesitation from the tractor. Overall a well built tractor."
"Love the power of this compact tractor."
"I checked/tested several models before purchasing my M4900 Kubota with a front end loader. I have to admit that being able to trade in my Kubota on another tractor was a predominant factor in the deal. I found, and still find, that the Kubota is an excellent tractor, very dependable and easy to maintain. However it has a slightly weaker hydraulic system than other tractors in its HP range (50).This lower hydraulic power range comes into play just now and then but as it is with every tractor it isn't there when you need it the most."
"Overall this is a very good medium duty tractor, it's only shortfall from my perspective is the hydraulic pump needs to be stronger and the hydraulic lines need to be shielded. It is very dependable, but it just doesn't have the lifting power of other tractors it's size and split hydraulic pumps for front and rear use would be better, or either a stronger one."
"I love this tractor, it is functional and fun to operate. It will start in any weather and does not take long to warm up. It is very maneuverable in the field and the steering is great. "
"All in all this has been a good tractor. I have had some problems with the "shuttle shift". It's actually a synchro shuttle and not a full shuttle. You still have to clutch the tractor. I had problems with the shifter jumping out of low range and with the shifter not wanting to come out of low range. It turns out (after two trips to the dealer) that the shifter was hanging on the neutral safety switch. I did have problems with the dealer wanting to charge me $250.00 to pick up and return my tractor (I live 10 miles from the dealer) to do warranty work on my loader. One of the cylinders was leaking. (It is a Bushhog brand loader) I loaded the tractor onto a borrowed trailer and took it in myself. They rebuilt the cylinder and it leaked worse after than before. When I called he said they would have to charge me to pick it up or I could bring it in again. I told him that it was under warranty and that he could either come and get it or send a mechanic out!!! He sent his mechanic to my house to replace the cylinder."
"No issues at all with this tractor. Very dependable. I do wish I had gotten four wheel drive, but that was my fault."
