"I use it with a 6 ft. bush hog, 87 inch rear snow blower, front end loader, 3 bottom plow and other harrows. I have the power reverser which works great. I had creeper gears installed for use with the snow blower and they are a must for blowing deep snow. Thinking of buying an erskine 90 inch front mounted snow blower for next winter in case you don't know they run off the rear PTO. I have had zero problems with the tractor and would highly recommend it. I have had 3 other tractors in this size range and this is the best."

"I bought this tractor used from a friend, with only 125 hours on it. It has performed like a gem. We've cleared brush with a Bush Hog, moved downed trees with the grapple, made roads with the front end loader and box blade. It has never missed a beat, and it has taken a beating at times. Reliable, is the best adjective."

"I'll start by saying that I'm relatively new to farming and farm equipment which for the purposes of a review like this may be good or bad depending on a reader's perspective. I like to recall the day I took delivery of my new tractor. It was a cold day in February in northern Maine. I arrived at our farm a day early to clear the snow from the driveway up to the garage. The snow had accumulated in layers which made the job of clearing somewhat more difficult. To make a long story short, the delivery truck and trailer got stuck in the driveway. We unloaded the Kubota and put it to work freeing them both. I purchased the tractor primarily for mowing. I have two hay fields, approx 50 acres total and an older MF model 41 sickle bar mower. The M5640 handles this task with ease. The manual transmission is easy to operate and the four cylinder turbo diesel is smooth and efficient. So far the only maintenance I've had to do was the 50 hour oil/trans fluid change and a clutch adjustment. Having no prior experience servicing a tractor, I found both tasks quite easy. Prices for OEM parts and fluids were quite high though. I think the fluids change w/filters ran over $600. Our property is relatively flat but there are some sloping areas. About the only criticism I have about the Kubota M5640 SUD is what feels to me anyway, like a somewhat high center of gravity. It's been a great machine so far. I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitation. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Smooth engine/trans, easy to maintain, reasonably priced. Cons: Seems a bit top heavy, costly OEM fluids and parts. Type of User: Homeowner 50-100 Acres Location: USA ME I also considered buying: Massey Ferguson 2615, Mahindra 5530, Mahindra 5010 Gear

"I picked this up a couple months ago with 600 hrs on it, it's pushing 700 hrs now. It pulls a 6-1/2' bush hog thru the thickest stuff up hill w/no hesitation. I'm building a 7' land leveler/plane with scarifies for it now. Beats the heck out of the old 340 diesel utility for running the bush hog. So far I'm very pleased."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Plenty of PTO and hydro power, cold a.c. Cons: Could use a little more leg room for tall person. Type of User: Homeowner 50-100 Acres Location: USA WV I also considered buying:

"I bought this tractor to replace a similar size/power John Deere 2wd. The m5700 is superior in every way except for entry/exit. The shift lever is still in the center of the floorboard and the JD was mounted more conveniently on the right side, and this makes it harder for me to get on and off. The m5700 is smoother running and the gear ratios are more suitable. The transmission is synchronized and has a sync shuttle reverser which is a nice feature. I have every reason to believe the Kubota will deliver as good a service as the JD product at less cost."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Size, power, synch shuttle reverser, ease of service. Cons: Shift lever position, only one remote. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA IN I also considered buying:

"I bought my tractor in Spokane, Washington where I had 40 acres and a desire to farm and build a house. I'm not sure there are too many details I can put in here that would be helpful. I only have 358 hours on it in all that time and probably half of those are running the hoe. I bought it with a Woods 9' backhoe, a boxscraper, FEL, and later an adjustable landscape blade for snow. It's always started and run well. I moved it with me to Alaska in 2008. I run synthetic oil in it here because of the cold. It seems to start better. The front tires are low quality compared to the big rear tires. They are splitting a lot and will need to be replaced soon. Kubota wouldn't do anything about that. That will cost me about $500 when those finally go."

Pros: It always starts. Cons: Tire quality. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA AK I also considered buying:

"This is a great machine. I log with it and have a hydraulic winch on the back which balances it nicely. The large front tires work well with the heavy duty forks. I've had 30' logs probably pushing a half ton on the front with no problem. I find that most of the time it's in low gear for digging or scooping with the bucket so the true shuttle shift is great. This machine is a great value for the money. Not a lot of bells and whistles but a real work horse. Have had no mechanical problems and it starts in any weather. I also plow snow with a 3-way on the front. Only got it stuck in deep snow once because the belly got too much hardpack under it. It's garaged but unheated. Always starts with no block heater. Strongly recommend."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Good value, nimble in the woods, great work horse. Cons: Can't think of any. Type of User: Homeowner 100+ Acres Location: USA VT I also considered buying:
