"I've had this tractor for 12 years now and haven't had any problems with it. I replaced the battery a couple of years ago and replaced a steering hose recently, but was my fault. I also put some auxiliary lights on it and had the wires hooked up wrong and fried the wires and put a hole in the steering hose. Had a new hose made up and it's fine. I use it for mowing, hauling firewood, moving dirt, and snow plowing as well as auxiliary hydraulics for a wood-splitter and hedge trimmer."
"Does more than I would expect a 18 hp tractor to do. I use it for finish mowing, bush hogging, box blade driveway maintenance, finish grader blade leveling, bucket loader work and snow plowing. It has yet to let me down. Strongly recommend the Mahindra Hydro system. First hydro I ever used, always had gear tractors, however I am impressed with this unit."
"I have been using a Mahindra 1815 for a couple of months now. It had 260 hours on it when I bought it. It is a great little tractor and because they have such poor resale value I got it for a great price. Like all guys I would like more power but it does a great job for what it is rated for. It is great on fuel and runs like at top. My only issue is because I am very tall it is a little tight for me, my knee is right up against the hydraulic controls and I haven't figured out how to move the seat to make more room for myself. As well, the hydrostatic foot control is a little small for my big feet. However, in fairness, this would not be an issue for very many people. I am looking for attachments to use with it."
"Bought this tractor new with the fel and a 4ft finish mower to replace my old rhino tractor and to double as a lawn mower. This tractor is also used for blade work (4ft) and to pull a 5 ft bush hog. This tractor is incredibly useful with the fel and I use it to do jobs where a bigger tractor should be used. Yes, it is borderline abuse. This tractor has never had any mechanical problems at all. I did bend the third arm on the 3pt hitch once. The construction tread type tires are no good in the mud but do well on dry dirt. Tractor starts quick at about 1/2 throttle at temps around 20 degrees. After looking at New Holland, Kubota, John Deere, and Mahindra, Kubota and Mahindra seemed to be better choices and Mahindra was my pick because it seems to be built heavier and has a short wheel base which makes for a tight turning radius. with the fel removed, its not much longer than a large riding lawn mower and just as maneuverable."
"I looked at Kabota BX and it seemed expensive and didn't come with any extras. I chose the Mahindra because for $11000 new it came with a Box scraper and Post hole digger w/9" auger. Its loader can lift 900# and it has the HST transmission, all that and $200 down and $215 a mo.interest free till paid off, including insurance."
