"I purchased this new with high expectations only to be disappointed. The tractor has 48 hours on it and has been back to the dealer 4 times, as well as 3 service calls to the house. They have put more hours on the tractor that me. I have tried to get some type of customer service from Mahindra only to be still waiting for a call back or anything. This is not the Mahindra experience I was hoping for. "
"Tractor was great for the warranty period now it is nothing but a headache. Front axle spindle snapped off on drive down paved road now it has injector issues, seat dry rooted within first year (Texas) dash instrumentation is intermittent as well replacement part are very expensive, mine has the front end loader and 6 foot mower."
"I have had this tractor about a year and a half to use on our small horse farm. Uses have been spreading manure, baling hay, clearing snow, running a box blade and using a 8ft pull behind disc, does all jobs with no problems. I cut hay with a NH489 and bale with an old NH66, it will run both machines without breaking a sweat. The only trouble I have is in removing snow, I didn't get the rear tires filled or get wights for them, so getting traction in some of the deeper snow is a big hassle. Thanks goodness for the loader bucket to help me out... "
"The 5525 is a basic two wheel drive full size utility tractor. We had two minor problems with the tractor within the first six months we had it: the injector timing changed and an internal snap ring in a hydraulic valve had not been fully seated and blew out. Both were taken care of promptly by the dealer. I have no complaints about the tractor; with studded ice chains on in winter it does everything I want it to and is a pleasure to operate(I've been using 2wd utility tractors for 35 years). "
