"I like my little tractor so far, Kioti was cheaper and John Deere was way over priced, I've had a couple rocks that were too big for the bucket, but no trouble to drag them on a piece of metal. The specs were all comparable in the same class. Bucket comes off real easy. Haven't removed the deck yet, but it cuts nice, all in all. My new best friend."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: 4-wheel drive, and it fits in a standard garage. Cons: Wish the bucket was bigger. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: CND OT I also considered buying: John Deere 1020, Kioti CK20S

"Recently purchased my first tractor, although a compact it's still larger and much more versatile than the JD STX46 I've referred to as my "tractor" since 1998. The GC1705 came standard with a FEL and we added the MMM (Mid-Mount Mower) to it. Frankly, since I have no baseline other than the Farmall M and H that I grew up with, it is difficult to compare this GC1705 to anything else. Absolutely pleased with the purchase, the dealer, the quality, and the ease of operation. After a mere 12 hours of use in the past month the only regret I have is not enough hours in the day to use it more. Have already caught myself not being aware of the ROPS on a few occasions. I can duck for the branch but the ROPS doesn't. The lights should be mounted on the inside of the ROPS too. Already knocked one off while mowing. As the ground inclined toward the fence posts the left rear light was rudely introduced to the unforgiving fence post. DRATS! All-in-all, tickled with my newest toy!"

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Ease of operation, proximity of controls, maneuverability. Cons: Still looking for a place to mount a small toolbox. :-) Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA NC I also considered buying: John Deere 650, John Deere 750

"Previously owned a 2310 and was very happy with it. Always wanted the backhoe though, so finally saved up and for the 1710, and still very happy with Massey quality. My good friend did all the research on the different brands and concluded Massey was best bang for the buck, so we both went down and each bought one on the same day."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Quality. Cons: None so far. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA WV I also considered buying: Kubota B2400
