"I own a C6864 (3rd owner); just purchase it a few months ago. The C6864 is identical to the C6862 except it is 4WD while the C6862 is 2WD. The previous owner had the balancer assembly replaced. I am having the bushings on the 3-pt hitch arm replaced with late fall setting in. I'm exchanging the polymer bushings for brass bushings (why polymer?). I've used the tractor a bit this summer and am impressed with the power (70 hp) and features (2 sets of remotes, 4wd/2wd, 8 foward/8 reverse, 540/1000 PTO, etc.), though I have not really tested it full out. It is a nice machine and a real value, assuming I do not experience any further glitches. The mechanic that is currently replacing the 3pt-arm bushings on the tractor farms with the very model (Montana, C6864) and has both the service and parts manuals (hard to find as this tractor is no longer made). I now have my own copy of the operators manual, parts manual and service manual for the C6864."
