"I have had this New Holland T1030 for over 5 years now and have not had any serious problems with it. It has more than enough power for my needs. You just have to remember that the horse power is limited, so take the extra time to finish a job. The only problems I have had are nuts and bolts that have come loose. My own fault for not keeping a closer eye on things."

"Bought this tractor used from dealer. Implements purchased with the tractor are a NH front mounted 63" snowblower, NH front mount 60" rotary broom, 72" Woods 3-point finish mower, Woods 60" 3-point brush cutter and NH 60" belly mower deck. What I like: "Big tractor" features, Hi/Lo range HST, powerful hydraulics, rear & mid PTO, 12VDC power outlet, engine jacket heater, tight turning radius, strong 3 cylinder Shibaura diesel engine, manual PTO engagement lever-no electric clutch-and a roomy, open operator station. What I don't like: Very hard to start in cold weather. Loud, growling hydrostatic transmission. Cheap, fragile, plastic instrument switches. Excessive engine vibration over 2,600 rpm, poor quality electrical system & components, exposed HST/hydraulic oil filter next to the mid PTO on the rear axle. With less than 2 hours of operation and 174 total hours on the tractor, the PTO selector lever is stuck, the HST range lever is becoming hard to shift. The Sensitrak automatic 4WD is problematic and inconsistent, and one of the 4-way flashers is irregularly working and the battery has been replaced. I don't think this tractor will make for a good long-term investment. New Holland's quality has fallen significantly in the sub-compact & compact tractor market. My overall impression of this tractor is that it's cheap and under built. My dealer, however, is excellent and has taken very good care of me. I'll let the dealer go over the tractor and try to correct the above deficiencies before I pass final judgement as to whether I keep this tractor or get rid of it."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Highly maneuverable, powerful, versatile-has many attachments available. Cons: Hard starting, loud transmission, quirky parking brake lock, sub-par electrical system lock, cheap fragile plastic switches, poor quality battery. "I have had this tractor now for 17 mo. When the tractor is not at the dealer for repairs it's a great little tractor. I started getting problems around 20 hrs, one hydraulic leak after another. The factory rep told me that when it was assembled, they overtightened the fittings and that caused them to crack. Then at 140 hrs I discovered that the frame was cracked and my dealer had welded it once before. The bolts in the rear end were striped. Their fix was to weld it again and "locktight" the bolts in the rear. I ask New Holland for an extended warranty and was denied. New Holland don't care about their customers, only the next sale. The WOODS BH6000 has worked very well with no issues."

"After reading everything I could and going to each dealership and testing the basic functions on the JD2350, Kubota2660, MasseyGC2600 and NH1025 and 1030, I purchased the NH1030. They are all good tractors and I don't think I really could have gone wrong with any of them, but the NH1030 just seemed to have a little more lifting capability, has larger tires and was more comfortable. The package I got was the tractor, FEL and 60"MMM. So far I have mowed some, moved quite a bit of dirt and did snow removal this morning after the first significant snow of the year. It does very well with all those duties. I had the back tires loaded at purchase for counter balance and the added traction. It starts well, runs well and has done everything I have asked it to do without complaining. I recommend this tractor if you want a slightly larger SCUT. All things considered these tractors were all within $1000 of each other with same package and I went with the most expensive for the added size and lifting ability."

"I have been using the tractor with a 54" tiller, 64" snow blower, 48" box blade, and the factory 48" loader, also a 60" finish mower. The tractor has performed flawlessly! I did the first service myself and nothing was too difficult to do, which is great--knowing you can work on the tractor yourself without hauling it in to the shop. It continues to surprise especially when working the 64" snowblower, it moves a ton of snow quickly! "

"*1030 tractor *front end loader *Woods BH6000 backhoe I'm very happy with this tractor. The backhoe has a 16" bucket. Hoe works very well and I also got s thumb on hoe. The seat reverses quickly. I can reach FEL control while operation backhoe. It's not a farm tractor, but it's a great size for what I needed."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Tractor looks real good. It has bright head lights. pto is very smooth when engaging. HST foot pedels are very comfortable. PTO has plenty of power to run a 6' brush hog. Loader moves quickly and smoothly. Cons: The hydraulic filter is located under the tractor where it is easily damaged. More torque to wheels. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA PA I also considered buying: Kubota B2630
