"It is basically a lemon/junk. Parts fall off. Wires catch on weeds. It overheats. Cotter pins were missing and tore up the three-point hitch. I found some things were not installed correctly. I just had a private mechanic fix the clutch. He found that connection clutch/brake rods were reversed. A missing "O" ring in lift hose sprayed oil all over. There are too many issues to list. They have no local people to work on the dozer as they try to indicate. I have it near Peoria Il, not exactly in the wilderness. (Dealer name removed) wanted me to re-up the warranty but when I asked about fixing certain failing items, they said "Sorry pal, normal wear and tear." So drop another $2000 for nothing? (Dealer name removed) won't let me post my review of all the problems. Chinese made junk, American assembled junk. "

"I purchased my NB3500C NorTrac dozer, with backhoe new. I had immediate problems with the poor quality steel track, which broke within the first 30 minutes of operation. I then had the master hydraulic valve go bad, followed by broken hoses spraying the operator with hot hydraulic fluid. The steel arms for the box blade attachment broke three different times. The track has since been broken and lost off the drive wheel numerous times, even though proper adjustments and lubrication had been made. The steering/braking on the right side has also failed. The Chinese designers placed the brake/steering peddles too close together and the gear shift in 1st or 2nd prevents you from putting your foot on the left peddle. On the bright side, you pay for what you get and it does do the job once you can get around the poorly designed and defective metal. If I had it to to do over again, I would have bought a used American made dozer."

"This is a great little dozer for it's weight class. It is readily adaptable for most types of modifications and virtually all category 1 three-point attachments. It has been very reliable and has had no real issues, except for the ones I asked for. These dozers will get a bad rap from inexperienced operators - to be expected. This website is primarily focused on wheeled tractors, hence no Guilin or Yuchai manufacturer listing. The dealer parts support for the Yuchai is very good in my estimation, but it will be mostly mail-order."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Compact. Powerful for it's weight rating. Very easy to maintain. Comes with spare parts and tools. Cons: Could be heavier. Could have SAE size ORFS fittings. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA WA I also considered buying:
