"I put over 200 hours on this tractor and when it wasn't broken, I loved it. It was never short on power and the hydraulics were surprisingly strong. The tractor was very comfortable to drive and operate. The bad: hydraulic fluid leaked everywhere, the front drive shaft was out more than it was in, the front axle seals leaked, the parking brake very difficult to keep working properly, the tie rod for the front steering is not only in front of the axle but it's also lower - making it subject to getting bent all the time. All the tie rod ends had to be replaced. The front axle would raise up so high on the left side that the steering arm would hit the lower radiator hose causing the radiator to fail. "

"This is a good reliable hard working tractor; a good value. Some minor problems: the shifting sticks all the time, hydraulics leak a bit but all in all I recommend this tractor."

"Was looking for a inexpensive tractor for around the yard for general yard maintenance. Was considering a Kubota but really did not want to spend that much. Found this Nortrac on Craigslist for a great price. Very satisfied with the tractor so far. Had to tighten a few bolts & top off fluids from minor leaks. I don't think previous owner had any mechanic ability. "

"Purchased tractor from northern tool. Free delivery to my house off loaded with flatbed tow truck, also free. Had a oil leak after a few hours, they sent local dealer to pick it up and repair it. Got it back in two days with no charge to me. No other problems. I have a loader, brush hog and a five foot rotor tiller. Has great power even tilling in unbroken soil and rocks. Has all the power I need and am very pleased with performance. Roy j "

"I have had my NorTrac for about 2 years. I decided to try a Jinma and Northern had a great spring season deal. I figured that with my mechanical back ground I could fix just about anything on it. I read the manual front to back. Have don't all of the maintenance just about to specs. It is a very bare bones tractor. It also means less to break. The FEL is built in Wisconsin. It's well built, It needs a better spool and 1/2" hoses as 3/8" are a little small. (slow)No deal breaker by any means. I purchased the tractor with the Ag tires on the tractor. Bought the mounted Turf tires at the same time. I also purchased a 72" Finish Mower at the same time. The NorTrac handles the mower very well. I have a 5 acre front yard and it does it with ease. Added a Jinma 6" Wood Chipper last summer. Again the NorTrac did great. I put a 5' Countryline Box Blade on last fall. and has plenty of pulling power. This week it just finished a 600' driveway and a 25'x25' parking area. about 150 tons of stone. Did a fantastic job. Yesterday, I shut it off with 507 hour on the meter. There have been minimal problems with the tractor. There are some thing I want to change, but they will just add to it's already useful state. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Low Cost, Easy on fuel, There are a few forums with enough knowledge to get me out of trouble, It has enough power to work both 5' ground equipment, and enough pto power to run a 72" finish mower and a 6" pto wood chipper. Cons: Have to order parts. That can take from 3 to 7 days. Still not a deal breaker. Have had friends with their tractors at the delers for 2 weeks. Hydraulic fittings a china, so fittings can be difficult. Fit and finish could be better, but for the price it's fine. Type of User: Homeowner 10-50 Acres Location: USA NY I also considered buying: Jinma JM-354, Kubota B2630
