"I recently purchased this mower to replace a 10 year old 46" Craftsman lawn tractor. Due to the numerous obstacles, I needed a deck smaller than 46". I did a ton of research and tire kicking and ended up buying the Snapper Pro. The dealer also sold X-Mark and Grasshopper but I was most impressed with the Snapper. I was also looking for the Kawasaki engine (20HP). Every seems to agree that the Kawasaki is the best motor to have in a ZTR. I had the engine ago in a JD GT275 and in my current JD push mover and I would have to agree with the comments. The deck on the S50X is small but the frame is scaled down to accommodate it and it fits well in my garage. The build quality is excellent and all the components seems to be very durable. Another nice feature is that the mower it will fit through the opening in a gated yard. The quality of the cut and the maneuverability are excellent."

"Just bought it and mowed 3 acres, so this review is somewhat premature, but I have to share how awesome this mower is compared to my previous one. I purchased the SnapperPro s50x to mow three acres. Here are the particulars: 1. 19HP Kawasaki engine 2. 36" deck (yes, only 36" and my mowing time is cut in half) 3. Hydro gear commercial powertrains 4. 10 gauge double top deck (You can stand on the deck) 5. Cast aluminum spindles 6. Twin 4 gallon fuel tanks My Review: After owning a packaged store purchased Cub Cadet with 48" and 23HP Kohler, I decided to go commercial to speed up my mowing time and avoid any previous issues I've had with a residential/consumer model mower. The s50x is a Zero Turn Radius mower that is one powerful little brute. I never dreamed how quickly I could mow my acreage with the right equipment. This mower is built like a tank. So why such a small deck? Size matters right? Well, not so fast... The dealer guaranteed I'd cut my mowing time by 1/3 to 1/2 or he'd allow me to return it for a larger deck.. The 36" deck was right in my price range. I could have opted for a bigger deck (for the same price), but I would have given up the Kawasaki for the B & S ELS engine... I chose to stay with Kawasaki.. No offense to you B & S guys.. I just prefer the Kawasaki.. As for mowing... It's a dream.. I have several trees on my property and I can maneuver this little powerhouse in between them so quick it would make your head spin.. I highly recommend the Snapper Pro s50x... "
