"I purchased tractor from a dealer who had been using it for mowing/spraying around the dealership. It was sold as a "demonstrator" with 20 hours on it, but with full warranty. The tractor is rated at 42 hp, is 4WD, has 3 forward gears with low, med, high range for 9 forward and 3 reverse speeds, category 1 3-pt. hitch and live PTO, has a front loader with quick disconnect of the bucket, and it has ROPS. It has the industrial type tires and I had the rear tires filled and moved to as wide a stance as possible. The work space is very roomy and very well arranged. The tractor is heavier than any of the others I looked at. Apparently the model has been discontinued. Overall, I am very satisfied with the tractor. I have put 30 hours on it, mostly mowing with a 5' "Bush Hog"-type mower. I did find a couple loose bolts/nuts when I checked at about 40 hours, but nothing critical. I mow about 6 to 8 acres of very rocky and steep terrain. The tractor has performed better than my expectations. It handles the bush hog with no problems even though I did need to engage the differential lock a few times on the steepest part of my property. I do not recall the capacity of the FEL, but I have used it to dig out and move several full buckets of large rocks with no problems."
"I've had this tractor almost 8 years, and it has been used for mowing, roadwork, and minor cultivation. It came with a backhoe which I used a lot in the early years to solve some drainage problems and to bury my last two horses. The main problem was repair and final replacement of the hydraulic control for the bucket. I gave up on TYM and ordered one from Northern Hydraulics. This works fine. Parts are a problem as the dealers only last a year or so."
"New model. The dealer did not even have the owners manual for it. Specs out the same as a T 433, but has a gear tranny instead of a shuttle tranny. Well built machine and powerful with the 550 loader. I have run newer Cat equipment for 20 years, and I am very impressed with the TYM. Checked out some competitors, but the TYM appears to be a heavier competitor. Frame extensions are part of the loader subframe that comes standard. Approx. 5000 pounds plus with the loader, and can lift over 3000 pounds at the pins at the rear. 43 HP at the crank and 35 off of the PTO. One rear remote standard. The Dealer gave me the service manual for the machine , because they couldn't find the owners manual (good deal). Filters are the same as other TYMs, so no concern there."
"I have had my tractor for 18 months now. I bought it with the factory backhoe attachment. My first major project with it was a french drain that was 4 1/2 to 5 ft deep tapering out to ground level. The over all length was about 200 ft. I was very impressed with the fuel economy and capabilities of the tractor. I looked at Deere, Kubota and New Holland before a friend told me about TYM. I was able to get a bigger tractor with more standard options and still save a couple thousand dollars vs. a smaller tractor from the other three. I would recommend this tractor to anyone. Mine came with the 43hp Kubota and they have since changed over to Catepillar engines due to competition. "
