"FEL is very HD and the 33 HP is capable of doing most anything you would want to do if you take your time. It also has a Yanmar (Woods) frame mount backhoe #765 which is a real work horse. Way too heavy to mow the lawn with as it kills the grass with deep lug tires the second time you run over the grass but a hell of a machine other than that. For this reason I kept my 25hp 2wd AC and use it as a mower only. Creeper gear is a big and when you are stuck or putzing with a huge stump. This tractor will be part of my estate when I croak as I will most likely never sell it. "
"All around the Yanmar 336D is a good size tractor with all the features you could ever dream of. For starters, it's a diesel with pre-heat, most come with a factory FEL, has 4 wheel drive, rear locker, power assist steering. Most had a divider block for easy remote hydraulics, two speed PTO, tachometer, a dash mounted clutchless shifter, 4 gear ratios on the trans itself and 3 more with reverse on the dash selector, Has a creeper gear range so low I haven't found a use for it. The tractor all around is sturdy and built to last, the 336D is the version made for the American market so it had a spin on hydraulic filter and many other convenient options. Only thing I can really complain about is the operator station may seem small and cluttered to people. I personally don't mind it but it's certainly not like the newer tractors that have a large platform station. These tractors also hold their value EXTREMELY well!"
"This 30 year old tractor has been a trusty workhorse. I've only done basic maintenance, and it's performed flawlessly. It has about 2000 hours on the meter, but the meter was broken when I bought it, so I'm not sure what the true hours are. The front seals were leaky, which is normal for a tractor of this age. I had them fixed ($1000!), and now I just need to fix a couple of leaky cylinders. This thing always starts quickly, even in the depths of a Maine winter. I rarely need to glow the engine. Sometimes I look at new tractors to see what else is out there, but they are just not built as ruggedly as the old Yanmar. I keep her outside under a tarp. She doesn't complain. "
"All in all good tractor."

"Just purchased my tractor from private party looking forward to getting a lot of use out of it."
"Good little tractor. The guy I bought my place from had one and was super happy with it. That is why I bought one. Tough little tractor(34HP). Only have one big problem and would not have purchased if I had caught it, Not a continuous PTO. You push in the clutch and the PTO stops. Had to buy a sickle mower to get around my pond. When you back up the bush hog over the edge and push in clutch and brake, so you don't roll into the pond, the mower stops because the clutch is in."
