"I was looking for a small tractor for a 40 acre hobby farm I planned to buy. I needed power steering because the Ford 8N I had bought a few years earlier was too hard on my worn out shoulders during slow speeds and turns. I lucked out and found this tractor with a Yanmar roll bar installed, a Yanmar YFL loader, the Yanmar hydraulic valve kits, a Woods RB 700 rear blade, a Yanmar YLS series log splitter, a Pacific Machine Manufacturing Co. Machete Power Feed Chipper, and a Land Pride 3-Spindle Grooming mower. All the manuals were included along with the previous owner's repair and maintenance records. The purchase of the property fell through and my knees gave out. I got disgusted and bought a house. The house had three large oak trees that had to come down. The splitter has worked good but is limited to about a 26" log. The bucket has been good for shuttling the split wood to the wood pile. I used the bucket last year to move snow from my four-plex parking lot, the access to two storage buildings, and with a trailer ball on the bucket it was used to move boats and trailers as well as lift and move other equipment. The bucket is a little too small for efficient snow removal. The mower appeared to be a good mower, but the ground around the three buildings is a little too irregular to keep me from making lots of dust. It is way too big for around the house, but has proved helpful with some wood fences. I haven't used the back blade very much nor the sprayer tank and equipment that came with it. It obviously has far more capability than I use. It starts easily in any weather, the power steering has made it easy to drive, and the previous owner kept it clean and well-maintained. I move it from place to place with any of the implements attached using a 10,000 LB large car trailer. When the transmission range and shift levers are in low-low it creeps right up the ramps onto the trailer. Book weight is listed as 1973 LBS and HP is listed as 22 at 2600 rpm. I will see if I can add some photos later. "

"I have had this 226D (4WD) for a few years now and it runs great. In the winter I can not need it for months, then go out warm the plugs for 10 seconds and it starts up with hardly any hesitation. Perfect to run around the yard with a 6' finish mower behind it as well as a 5' blade in the winter to push snow around. Mine has hydraulic assist steering which makes driving it around wonderful. Would like to find a loader and maybe some ag tires for it in the winter as the turf tires slip in the snow at times. Thank goodness for 4WD though then. Overall I love this little tractor and think the Yanmar 3 cylinder diesel is a wonderful workhorse."
