"Bought the 2012 EX2900TLB Hydro for $21K at Brim Tractor. Free delivery (100miles), full tank, hooks on bucket, sun shade, mech. thumb, front grill guard, foldable ROPS, 3/5yr warranty, and free first 50hr maint. Add on: Filled rear tires($100), 6ft Agriease Box Blade ($375). Tested all the other comparable HP styles; Kubota, JD, Kioti, Mahindra, and Jinma. Yanmar has the best performance for price I could find. I have 20hrs on my Yanmar and love most everything except, I do not like the brake pedal above the hydostatic pedals on the right side of the tractor. Brake pedal should be on the left side of tractor. Working awesome no major complaints. Recommend getting the rear light kit installed at time of purchase. Chris"

"J.D. and Ford had the same specs. and lift capacities, except they had a higher price tag and a smaller platform with only a high or low range and overall a lighter machine. And the J.D.uses Yanmar engines I believe up to 50 H.P."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Great tractor at a reasonable price. Cons: The brake pedal and hydro pedals are on the same side. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: USA CT I also considered buying: John Deere 2520

"I needed something bigger then the dx 24 with bucket. I do not care for the belly mowers but when I used them I was in awe, no more bogging down in grass and no more belts its PTO shaft for mower and three pt. hitch both. Wow and the size is perfect the Hi dx 24 was a little too small for 24 stall horses barn, but great for a beginner or small garden and snow removal the reverse and auto forward makes the dx and the 2900 extremely fun, love both them just needed a little more mule power for larger chores. Yanmar bought out cub cadet so it's both now. "

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Bigger more bucket and power. Cons: Not cheap enough (lol). Type of User: Homeowner 50-100 Acres Location: USA IN I also considered buying: Yanmar FX24D, Farmall 400

"I needed a backhoe to fix some severe flooding/drainage probs. Old units in area were mostly junk, and BH to fit my 2-yr old Mahindra were around $10K with all nec. kits etc. Iver @ Springfield Tractor made me an offer I Couldn't refuse. The loader and backhoe work just fine 'tho the 7.5 ft reach isn't for big jobs. The tractor itself is great, hydro is the way to go with a loader. But it is kind or a hobby machine. No differential brakes, lots of interlocks so you can't stand when bushhogging for example, or move with the stinger when digging (brakes must be locked)."

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Hydro, 4WD. Cons: Single brake pedal, must change seats to move. Type of User: Homeowner 50-100 Acres Location: USA NY I also considered buying:

"I have absolutely no complaints on this tractor. I bought it with the loader and a 72" finish mower. I am completely amazed how easy the loader is to get on and off. I can honestly take the loader off in under 3 minutes I would say. I have a 5 ft brush hog that I was concerned may be too big for the tractor, I was wrong, it runs it fine. I mow my yard with the finish mower, brush hog my field, plow and disk the garden, clean the barn, move dirt; just about everything you could ask for on a small farm. Very handy machine. This tractor is every bit as good as the Kubota and John Deere without the high dollar name."

"I purchased the EX2900 TL and I am overall completely satisfied with this tractor. Very smooth running, easy to operate, good size to HP comparison. I run a 72" Cub/Yanmar finish mower with no problems at all. The loader is very simple to mount and dis-mount in under 5 minutes with one person. I do recommend some type of weight on the 3 pt. when using the loader whether it be a ballast box, implement, or ultimately the back-hoe attachment. Foot rests are vibration dampened, maintenance items are easily accessible. R4 tires work well whether your mowing the grass or using the loader attachment. "
