Model year: 1990Date Purchased: 1990-02-05Number of Hours: 1265
"Alternator died at about 400 hours, Lucas replacement $275, generic from Autozone $60 with lifetime warranty.
At 800 hrs, engine lost power, #3 cylinder fuel injector died, nursed for another 200 hours when #2 died. $1100 later fuel injection pump rebuilt, all injectors rebuilt.
1050 hours, left front hub bolts sheared, (4 wheel drive tractor), rebuilt in middle of field. All bearings and seals trashed with bolt particles. 1100 hours, right front hub bolts come loose, repeat of left side.
1265 hours, fuel injection pump seal goes, fills crankcase with diesel, #3 cylinder dead again. Injector tip failed. $1165 later get tractor back with rebuilt injection pump, 3 new injectors.
50 feet later tractor is in driveway and I'm wondering if it will manage to bale 150 acres of hay before it croaks again. "
